What I Have to Tell 100 People…

My blog just officially hit 100 followers!

Between the “Are You Finished Yet?” Facebook page, Twitter account,  and email and WordPress subscriptions, I am now potentially reaching at least 100 people every time I post something.

So potentially, just by typing this and hitting the “publish” button, 100 people will now know that my eyelashes are my favorite part of my body, I’m a little too in love with Method products, I find “Happy Endings” to be one of the funniest new shows on television, and I think it is totally bogus that The Monkees have never been nominated for the Rock ‘n’ Roll Hall of Fame but their tyrannical and self-aggrandizing music producer Don Kirshner was just inducted. (And I’m not the only one. Here is one of the best arguments I’ve read courtesy of NPR.)

And that makes me pleased as punch.

So there is no real reason for this post except for the sheer documentation of the moment in time I reached this milestone. This is quite possibly most definitely the largest audience my writing has ever had, so thank you very much for taking the time to read it.  Simply writing this blog may very well be like therapy with a trained professional for me, but then having people enjoy it is like a really great session of retail therapy…it’s not exactly necessary, but it sure makes you feel a lot better sometimes.

Now excuse me while I go bask in this glow, put on my white dancing shoes, and celebrate with Kool & the Gang.

  3. I’m a friend of Molly Kelly’s and recently came upon your blog. I have enjoyed reading your stories and thoughts – great writing! As a mom of a Kindergarten girl, a 2-year-old boy and new baby girl, I completely relate to your sentiments. Also, sorry about your loss (Davy Jones, this is).

    1. I’m happy you stumbled upon me and are enjoying the blog. Thank you so much for your comment…it’s nice to find our own experiences mirrored in other people. And thanks for the condolences. I literally just found out 4 minutes ago. I’m a little speechless, and sad for his family, friends, and fans. The Monkees were one of the few big groups of the 60’s to still have all their original members.

  4. Hi Kelly,
Did you see that Kool and the Gang are actually opening for Van Halen in April? I need to get more readers for my blog. You’ll have to explain this more to me since I’m clueless. John

    1. I did not see that!!! That would be a fun combo to see. And yes, your blog certainly deserves some more readership. Have you thought of creating a facebook page for it? It’s a great way to “advertise” and allows people who “like” it to stay updated on new posts.
